August 1st -4th – Bridge and arch assembly will take place on the shoulder of highway 16
August 4th at 8 pm – The North bound lane of Highway 16 will be closed and a detour will be set up for north bound traffic only. The crane will be set up at this time and will take approximately 3 hours.
August 4th at 11 pm – Traffic lanes will be closed in both directions and detours will be put in place. The bridge will be lifted, installed, and rigging will be disconnected. Anticipate this to take 2 hours.
August 5th at 1:00 am – Open South bound traffic. Begin teardown of crane. Approximate time is 3 hours.
August 5th at 4:00 am – Open North bound traffic.
A link for the detour plan can be found below. After the bridge is installed, the Contractor will begin forming for the bridge deck. The deck will be poured with concrete after installation is completed. As with any type of construction, weather can have an impact. The City will update once we know of any potential changes.
