The City of La Crescent is excited to announce the opening of the Boulevard Tree Program for 2026! Boulevard trees are an essential part of the landscape, providing residents with a range of benefits, including improved air quality, energy conservation, increased property values, improved water quality, wildlife habitat, and better mental health. The goal of the program is to provide street trees to residents who lack trees within the right-of-way along their properties, at no cost! The city provides the tree; you provide the care! The city will accept Boulevard Tree Applications on a rolling basis until all of the available trees have been awarded.
Funding for these trees in provided with a grant from the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources. If you are interested in having a boulevard tree planted in your property, please fill out the boulevard tree application and return to the city.
