All seniors are invited to join us for lunch time meals! The La Crescent Senior Dining Program is organized by Semcac, a local community action agency. Senior Dining serves delicious, lunch time meals, Monday through Friday, at the La Crescent Fire Hall. Our program is for anyone 60 years of age or older and their spouses or caregivers. We provide tasty and well-balanced meals, with some dietary choices, along with socialization and fun entertainment. Many of our diners enjoy the opportunity to volunteer at the site in an effort to help others and give back. It’s a great opportunity to get out of the house, socialize, and stay connected with the community. There are no income guidelines—everyone is welcome at Senior Dining! Diners are given the opportunity to donate towards the cost of their meal, if they are able. The positive effects of senior dining are evident for those who struggle financially or who have difficulty shopping, cooking, or cleaning. Some of our diners live alone and Senior Dining is the only time they see or speak to others throughout the day. Some love to come as an act of service, supporting a program that needs diners in order to remain open and thriving. While others love to come simply for bingo and delicious meals! Please, join us for a meal!
